Dingalan Rocks

Who would ever know that at one of the highest points in the province of Aurora lies a terrace of rocks and springs that forms an astonishing group of ponds where weary-souled travelers can dip and refresh themselves in its cool waters. I found that out in Dingalan.

Fabros Paradise Resort is located in Barangay Caragsacan in Dingalan. It is named after its Barangay Chairman who took pains in developing the area. For just a minimal entrance fee of Ten Pesos and a cottage that can be rented from P200 to P500, it is a perfect place for adventurous picknickers who want to escape the summer heat.

The resort consists of over a dozen ponds surrounded by very huge rocks. These rocks were formed by nature with only minimal developments from the resort owners - so everything is natural.

Caution should be exercised because these rocks are quite huge and there isn't enough trails to go from one pond to another. In fact, some visitors there frequently slips in these rocks and they are just so lucky as not to injure themselves.

The waters are fresh and crystal clear. However, it is advisable that you dip and bathe in the topmost pond because some tourist either throw or spill some of their food in the pond and if you are bathing in the bottom, you will see these wastes and food pass you by.

And before I forget, the roadside view of the mountain and the sea is just spectacular so even though there are occasional bumps on the dirt road (the main highway are still being constructed), every time spent in going there is well worth it.
Note: Since I am in the Aurora Series, I deemed it proper to include this one which was previously posted on April of 2008.

How do I get to Aurora Province. Is it near Baguio? The place looks so fresh and natural.

ALiNe said...

What a virgin place.. Nice =)

Lawstude said...

@ alexander - when i was a kid, all i wanna do is jump and play in the water, now i appreciate the environment of the place more.

Lawstude said...

@ carlotta - i think they have a direct bus from manila to baler but from where i live (cabanatuan), i have to pass by the city of palayan, municipality of laur and gabaldon, then to dingalan, aurora. the car ride is about 2 hours.

Lawstude said...

@ sidney - unspoiled and underdeveloped and yet amazingly beautiful.

Lawstude said...

@ kris jasper - almost every week na nga yata. i really enjoy traveling talaga.

Lawstude said...

@ vinzent - its not near baguio, its adjacent to nueva ecija. to go there, i took the cabanatuan-palayan-laur-gabaldon-dingalan route.

Lawstude said...

@ aline - untouched by technology. thanks for passing by.

Hey, this is a great place to be ...

Lawstude said...

@ estan - more on mountains and rocks and lots of red clay.

Lawstude said...

@ abou - may maganda sign na nakalagas sa isang malaki bato, ang sabi "di ka bibiruin ng mga bato dito" kaya dapat talaga doble ingat.

Lawstude said...

@ misterhubs - talaga kasi lahat ng sulok eh photo-worthy.

Lawstude said...

@ coldman - double-meaning yun para masaya. nagpapahinga naman ako minsan eh. sarap kasi gumala.

Lawstude said...

@ quintarantino - i agree, untouched by modern civilization. just pure bliss.

Aurora is really an underrated province. I hope it would be much easier to go there so many more would enjoy its beauty.

In a world where so much has been tampered my man, to find such a beautiful natural place is far and few between. Thanks for your photos and descriptions of this location.

Thanks as well for stopping by. Very nice to meet you. I shall be back! :-)

A very refreshing place indeed. Somewhat primitive because of the stones. Is is difficult to go there?

alicesg said...

Very beautiful and interesting place. Love all these natural places.

Tina said...

Aba aba aba. Di ka na naman nagsama. Kainis ka talaga. Hahaha. Dapat nadulas ka jan. Joke. =)

Lawstude said...

@ kegler747 - the highways are being constructed now and it is almost finish (ang tagal na construction nun 10 years na yata). and there is also a new port there contructed in dingalan. i just don't know when will it be operational.

Lawstude said...

@ dave - nice to meet you too. thanks for dropping by.

Lawstude said...

@ vanessa - since the roads are not yer fully concreted, it is somewhat difficult to go there but given few more years, the province shall be fully accessible to everyone.

Lawstude said...

@ alicesg - really a relief from the busy city. what a breath of fresh air.

Lawstude said...

@ tina - lagi ka kayang busy din. sige minsan set natin lakad, akyat tayo ng bundok.

-padaan lang-

Lawstude said...

@ kyels - i thought about posting it. bata naman eh so i think its ok.

Lawstude said...

@ bw - what's saddening is that some tourists leave their trash at the site. lots of kids swim in there. just so carefree.

Lawstude said...

@ uno - thank u for passing by. a place for nature lovers.

Lawstude said...

@ cm remarkable - i have been there and i won't hesitate to go back.

Lawstude said...

@ amicus - thats true, we had our lunch at a local dampa there and we have spent under a thousand pesos for 5 viands. really cheap.

Beautiful place and great pictures. Thanks for visiting, have a nice weekend.

Very nice pics. I'm from Aurora province. Yes there are still many pristine rivers and waterfalls there. It's very beautiful. Unfortunately it is still difficult to travel there. Paving those treacherous mountain roads has been a work in progress by every seated governor since way back in the 60's.

Reign said...

Ganda naman dito! sarap magbabad since sobrang init ngaun. Kung san san ka napupunta a, pasabit naman! hehe.

Nice pics!

ginabeloved said...

hi! WOW! i want to be in Dingalan... just perfect for summer clean and fresh unlike in beaches. hope it will be preserved for future generations because in some provinces rivers dried up very sayang tsk tsk tsk...

some people are really irresponsible in throwing their wastes.

Lawstude said...

@ larysa - hello. nice province you have and i have to agree with your observation. i was there about five years ago and the roads only had minimal improvements. the highways are getting better though.

Lawstude said...

@ reign - talaga naman. sarap magbabad kaso sobra init. sabit? tara.

Lawstude said...

@ ginabeloved - yup. dingalan is super natural. let us just hope the spring and the falls won't dry-up so fast so that future generations could enjoy.

Lawstude said...

@ gmg - you bet. it's a wonderful place to visit albeit the difficulties in getting there.

Lawstude said...

@ ferdz - you'll have the time of your life there considering how great you can capture those landscapes. pag pumunta ka sama ko ha.
